Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Restored, recharged, and re fried? Mexico 2016

I have been away for a bit, got home from our yearly winter vacation last Sunday, I meant to post sooner, but as things go, it seems we are twice as busy coming home than we were before we left.
Many thanks to my Brother in law Marc, and my sweet friend Mel for holding down the fort and taking such great care of the critters. It makes the trip so much more relaxing knowing the home fires are tended with such care and attention.
We were in Nuevo Vallarta again, a favorite destination.
