Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Finding my way back

Before I even start this post ,I have to again say thank you to all who have been so kind, supportive and encouraging this last while . The messages, comments ,phone calls ,all just moved me beyond words! adore each and every one of you !

So even though I have my blog back, or at least access to it , and it has been very empowering doing that .I am in a bit of a funk. I have started several posts , and frankly ,hated them. Just could not get back my groove. Over the last 3 years I have loved blogging, an in one fell swoop some jerk ,has tried to take it away from me. It is just words and photos, but it was mine. And I have been feeling a little defeated.

So what do I do in a situation like this , to get myself out of a funk and back in the game ? I take the boys, and my camera, and I go see the very best therapists in the world!

If these guys can't make me smile, I am in real trouble!

Stay Safe my friends!

LOVED LOVED LOVED going on a walk with you!!! I agree! . . . awesome "funk" breakers you've got there!!
As to being hacked - well that just super sucked. And I feel so bad for you and I look at my blog differently now. It could happen to any of us. I'm so sorry! Don't let that jerk take from you what blesses you and so many others! Though I know that is much easier said than done. So take your time - walk amongst your funkbreakers - it'll feel "right" again to pour your Writer's Self into your blog as time brings healing.
I think this post was a fabulous way to start! And you know those horses- they'll GIVE you things to write about . . . . !! =^)

Glad you're getting back into the game - that must have been a terrible blow.

There is nothing more theraputic than a horse. It's like they can read your mind. So glad you got your blog back. I remember one blogger a few years ago that found out that another blogger in Montana was stealing every single word and photo she was writing and putting it onto her own business blog. The thinking of some people just amaze me. At some point it seems that instinctively you have to be able to realize cheating and harming another individual is wrong. But I may be just very naive!

Nothing like animals to put things in perspective!
Never let them get the best of us ! To bad some people dont have a life and have to do such heartless things to others ! Glad your back on track ! Awesome photos ! Have a wonderful day !

Stupid blogger ate my comment. *grumble*

Thanks for posting pictures of the lovelies. I just adore those two little golden horses with spots. They're one of my happy spaces online, and I was so sad when they were gone.

As for feeling in a funk, it's OK. Those creeps took something from you, and it was something real. Don't let anyone tell you that the internet isn't real. It is real.

*hugs* take care.

That sounds like the best medicine for now. Do what you love and the rest will follow. We're here no matter what ♥

I am SO glad I have the book, you have no idea. Thanks, as always, for being there. You sure don't have to look very far to find beauty. 'specially in your mirror.

Lol just like in riding - you dont look down at their shoulder to see if they are on the right lead, no, you LOOK FORWARD TO SEE WHERE YOU ARE GOING!

you go girl!

Absolutely loved visiting your herd with you. I like to go be with my herd when times get me down, as well.

I am so sorry that someone felt the need to destroy your blog. It sure put a new light on what we all have stored on our blogs. (hugs)

Very glad to see you back though and hopefully all will be better soon.

Oh yeah! Love your ponies! Especially the babies.
Last night as I walked past my desk, I spied my Fern Valley calendar and Dandy graced the page, frolicking in the green grass. And I thought of you, my friend. I was hoping and praying that this whole hacker fiasco wasn't getting you down.
And there you are, expressing how much joy you were receiving from your horses...Dandy included.

(((((hugs)))))
