Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Gonna be a Contender!

In at the Challenge of the breeds!
 Power lifting for horses?
 Or a true example of
 Ranch Versatility
After all ,who wouldn't want a horse that can help with fencing?
And that is this gorgeous!
Stay safe and warm
With Love, Comet

So awesome! If he keeps that up, he'll be the Jack Lalanne of the horse world! He may even live to be as old as this young whipper snapper: http://animaltracks.today.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/02/10552586-at-51-is-this-the-oldest-horse-in-the-world
He still looks amazing for his age, doesn't he??
