Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Absent minded, or just absent

Lately I have been thinking of lots of stuff to blog about ,but by the time I start to write it ,it has faded again. I wanted to do a post for today  a Fridays for sale post  or something , and it just  never came together .Busy tired , not sure what , commenting on other blogs seems to be beyond me .
I do read, just ,never seem to have enough  time to formulate a comment .Its not  like I am actually getting  anything much done here either, or it just doesn't feel like it .
Gonna have to find ,my stride  pretty quick here, I have quite a lot I do want to do.
Meanwhile I will leave you  with the wish for a wonderful first weekend of summer (here at least , and for Sally , hopes for a warm winter weekend where you are)
And wishes that everyone , stay safe and well, and wear your sunscreen!
Oh, and a few pics of the golden boys , who are both for sale , so maybe I sorta did a FFS post?

Nothing like a little bit of Golden Appy eye candy to get my day started! Thanks for sharing them.

I know how you feel - went through that bit of funk myself earlier this year. It will get better as it always does.

Thanks for your kind comments about Ms. Rosie she is pretty unique isn't she. =)

Wait, you mean, with your job, and just a very few critters to look after, you can't find time to blog? Kidding.
I don't know how you do it, anyway.
Love me some golden boys. Loves that Quinnn the most, after Johnny, of course.

get some rest, girl.

Have a great weekend, the boys are looking fine; wouldn't it be nice if they both went to the same home?
And how is Phoenix doing at the trainer's?

Great picture of two carefree boys! I agree with GoLightly, I don't know how you do it all anyway. You deserve a little break now and then.

Those are two very nice looking horses! Both of us need to find some free time.

Look at those lovely golden boys!!
Glad you are enjoying summer...we haven't gotten there yet. I think we are stuck in a winter pattern for awhile.

It never ceases to amaze me how fantastic and mature your yearlings look. You have magic grass too. ;-)

I hear ya on the blogging funk. This is the time when there is so much to actually talk about and what happens? We are so busy doing it, we don't have the time or energy to talk about it. Oh well...it will make for some interesting stories this winter right?

Well I'm in love all over again ...your boys are simply gorgeous. Again just a pity I live so far away.
As for a warm weekend ....it has rained cats and dogs ...in other words simply poured. I did ride but let my friend ride Eve for an arena session. It seems some battles are best taken on by others who put things in perspective and deal with them better. I just love opening my blog and seeing your horses enjoying the summer sun ....happy days x
