Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Silly hooligans!
Casey knows how to relax in comfort, can't blame her for finding a nice soft spot out of the snow.

Casey was just waiting for you to make room for her to get comfy. Silly girl.

Love watching the boys play. They can get a bit rough, but at the end of the day- they had fun and will sleep well.

That "playing" looks a little scary. I guess boys will be boys in any species.

Looks like they're ready for spring. I like that the one is laying in the feed trough hay feeder thingy :)
