Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Give me a horse

As some of you know I am a writer. Usually poetry but more recently I have felt called to write and share different writing. Recently published  "Whats in your kit?" a beginners look at farm first Aid.

What's in your Kit?

I am also considering putting together my "honorable mentions" in a collection of short stories
Opening with the poem "Give me a Horse "  and that is currently the working title.

Just a little update.

You are sure finding your niche as a writer! Have fun and sell a lot at the Mane Event!

I really love that cover. :)
And smart idea, too. I wouldn't have a clue about what to do if someone were crazy enough to give me a horse. :)

The farm first aid book is a good idea. Who couldn't always use a refresher in what to do when it all goes south.
