Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

So this happened

Yes it was expected, eagerly anticipated a matter of fact as I was pretty sure this cross was a good one

“And he should have one green eye and one blue” a quote from  Practical Magic. Well he doesn’t have a green eye but he certainly has one lovely Blue eye. A gift from his sire Fern Valley’s Phoenix. Out of The Drama Queen (Reina)

Funny thing I can't seem to get that magic thing out of my head , seems I am leaning towards FV Practically Magic" as a name, not written in stone yet but...
and yes I usually try to connect to the pedigree but sometimes the name just calls you

Yes they often tell us their names, if we can only silence our minds and listen. They speak to us in ways many never understand. That movie is one of my favorites. He is a very handsome colt Sherry. This is a good cross.
