Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

The pictures

Greg ,Heather , and Murray , on the Kingston ferry

Greg, myself  and Murray

The whole works! well almost

from left to right . Randy , and Enid ,me again, Murray, and the tiny blonde is his sweetie Anita , then Heather and Greg. Gregs wife Shelly was unable to be with us as her mother is gravely ill . and Heather and my hubbie's, got left behind on this trip , as it was a "sister weekend "
having trouble getting the other pictures to load , they are of the house and the ferry trip we took. but I think this covers the  basics .

I haven't been on a ferry since I lived in Seattle lo those many moons ago. Like it was in the 60's. I always loved them and there was something magical about being able to drive your car onto them but I was also only ten so it's didn't take much to amaze me. :) Great photos. Looks like it was fun.
