Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Tired

Fridays , for sale will be back next week, I have been pretty busy  and the weather at the moment sucks . March is giving us one (hopefully) last blast ,and I cannot face showing pics of the  white stuff today . As far as I am concerned Old Man Winter needs to go to a retirement home !
Whether it is the weather , or all the rest I am too pooped to do a proper post .
Will be back at it over or after the weekend
Meanwhile stay safe and warm

We got snowed, too, but here it melts off fairly quickly. Was sort of surprising to even have snow in March at all.

We had our last blast, last weekend. From here it is expected to be temperatures like that of Hell expected to come rolling in. I am NOT looking forward to it.

You need a good shot of sunshine to perk you up! And maybe a glass of wine and some snuggle time with your sweety- makes the world allright.

Your weather has a real nasty streak. doesn't it. Get your hopes up, dash 'em.

Our winter never even winted. Your winter?
Every year, I shake my head at what you guys endure. Unreal. Nasty.

The amount of snow we've gotten is downright scary. There are daily reports of a high fire danger down here. The lack of moisture coupled with the high wind has put us in a bad spot. We normally get snow in March and April, but I don't think we've had a single snowflake this March. I'm just hoping we don't get a deep freeze that kills any chance we have of getting peaches, apples or pears this year, because the trees got fooled by the warm weather.

Can you ship some of that white stuff down here? Please? =)

Hope you're feeling more up to things today. {{{hugs}}}
