Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

My old Sally dog use to chase the sprinkler when she was hot......I think she thought it was a sporting event the way she went after it.

Our dog Timberoo just barks at the door. Once to get your attention and let you know he wants in. Again if you don't get there in time, then again, repeating the process until you let him in. He learned it from Abby.

Love the sprinkler pic's. Winston obviously knows how to stay cool.

No way in heck would my dog do that. If she even sees a hose, she takes off. But a wading pool is another thing. My daughter finally had to give hers up to Nellie.
