Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Sure looks pretty, even makes the gas tanks look nice. But I hear you too much weather going on this summer.

Wow, look at that beautiful rainbow! The only thing I really like about storms is the beautiful pictures that are taken!!

Mother Nature can be frightening, at least you enjoyed some pretty double rainbows. Glad everyone is safe.

Nice. Excuse my ignorance, but what are those circular towers? Windmills? Satellite dishes?

Nuzz Muzz those are fuel tanks. We get fuel delivered here for the farm equipment as it is too hard on it to drive to town 9 miles to fill up

Great pics. I wish we would get a bit of your rain. Hot- windy a few odd storms but not enough moisture to get excited about. My pastures are dry and about eaten off...oh well not like I didn't know it was coming. What is in the second to last pic...something blowing around in the wind???? or just dirt up close to your lense?

Yes, bad weather does make interesting pics. Always love a rainbow. Our weather has been boring and predictable. Just hot.
