Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Friends on Friday

They are the coolest pair. Even from the start they went from "stranger danger"  to
Hey little buddy I witll  take care of you
Then they learned to have fun and play

 and play
 and play
 and play some more

 and when its all over
this is  how you find them
 Friends for life
Stay safe my friends. Hoping all of my friends south of the border had a wonderful Thanksgiving

Methinks that they are like Boots and Brooklyn, spoiled rotten, but loving it!

Nothin like dogs playin in the snow and crashed out on the bed eh? It's been in the 80's all week here. I would only trade ya for the white stiff long enough to get some skiing in before sitting in front of the fireplace. Of course come June or so we won't be trading much...

Flip n' Blaze have an admirer up the road, a cavalier king george spaniel. "Stubby". He is in wuv. The neighbours are forever calling him back from marching determinedly down to visit. My girls would love a play date with dogs sharing the same atmosphere. Meet me in Winterpeg?

Giving thanks for my family in the States. Happy Thanksgiving! (Am I late??)
You guys ARE late. Harvests come sooner in the north, of course:)

Skeeter keeps Winston young. It's always a delight to watch them play.

Very sweet photos. And I have said it before, but I just love Winston. He looks so kind and noble and like he has all the good dog qualities in the world.

Skeeter cracks me up, trying to get through holes that aren't big enough for dogs, rolling in nasty stuff... he's the imp dog.

They're quite a pair.
