Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

This Christmas Eve

As we gather on this Christmas Eve
in love and faith ,we still believe
The reason just can't be ignored
the very birth of
Christ our Lord
through all the festive gifts and lights
shines that very first Christmas  night

For without this ,the day would come
and go  with meaning, to no one
Just another winter day
where no person took the time to pray

Sing the carols ,lift your voices high
and never let the true meaning die

Merry Christmas to all, with love from Sherry and Martin, and all the critters here at Fern Valley
And as always , stay safe my friends

Thank you Sherry. And I'm hoping your Christmas celebrations with your family were filled with comfort and joy. May we always remember and be thankful for our Lord! The poem is just lovely.
