Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Welcome to my rainbow

With the color of  winter being mostly grey and white, I am  forever blessed her to have my own personal rainbow of  beautiful colored horses and critters , to keep my days bright . And even today  though it was awfully warm to see one I caught a pic of the prism in the sky  we call a sun dog!

But for anyone with the winter blahs and looking for some color ,I pulled a few shots from the archives .
Think spring!! it is coming eventually !

There was a glimpse of my rainbow, and my own pot of gold!
Stay safe and warm my friends

sigh.

I love all of your color ~ we are surrounded by color here too... most of our 4-legged babies are full of color! Never thought of it as always being surrounded by a rainbow but that makes sense! Love the snow dog - great picture!
