Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Xel ha

I think, for the most part  I will let the pictures do the talking.I will comment on a few as we go  and say, it was awesome! we walked , and walked and walked . The Consciousness trail was wonderful though I  would say with all the low branches the "Unconsciousness trail" might have been a more likely name

My favorite "Captain Corona " himself!

This chair was a riot to get on. Martin started to "help me" up before I was  aware he was helping , so I wound up half on and off, laughing myself  to tears, trying unsuccessfully to not look like a turtle stuck on its back .Eventually wriggled the rest of the way up. But after that there was no way Connie was even going to try! LOL

A Coati
and another
then oh my!!! so many

Swimmin' with the fishes!

Boy this looks like fun and warm:)
I have never been to one of these nice warm places and am enjoying your photos and the smiling faces. B

I would love some of the warmth right now, although I can't complain too much, we don't usually get dumped on with snow, ice, and other real winter stuff. Just a lot of cold rain and shivering.

I love the photos, my favorite is you and your hubby in the big chair. More fun 'cause I know the story behind it. :)

Those are wonderful Fern! Coati's are so cute and the birds are beautiful. A video of the chair climbing would have been better ;-)

Oh Man!!!! You had to post those today of all days! LOL As I sit here at my desk in the coldest room in the house trying to get warm (unsuccessfully) after braving 35mph winds that cut through to my bones like an icicle knife, just to feed my poor freezing ponies. Drat you I say! (I'm kidding)

Actually they are absolutely beautiful pics and thank you for sharing them with us.

Chuckle chuckle chuckle. The captain's hat has a curly cord attached to it so no one will walk off with it. Love the animals. We certainly don't see those often... or ever.
