Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

can't find the words???

Well that is  not  entirely true , I  can  find  some  but  just  struggling  with the  wording to  advertise  Tango  and  Maks  for  sale . Maybe it  is  because  I  am  tired or  its  karma, for  finding  all  the  "creative  truths" I  told  my  sister  and brother  in  law  the  last  few  weeks .You see  my  sister  heather and  Her  hubby  Mar  celebrated 25  years of Marriage on  October 1, their  kids  and  I  threw  a  surprise party for  them  yesterday, it  was  quite  a  hit, and somehow  we  managed (barely )  to  keep them in  the  dark till the  event happened! so  worth  the  effort  when I saw  the  look on  their  faces! A  few  happy  tears  from  Heather, and  since  I  hate  to  let  anyone  cry alone,  thee  may  have  been  some " dust  in my eye"  for  a moment!
Marc's folks and  sister came  in from Vancouver and it  was a  lovely  evening. Would love  to  share  pics, but I  forgot to put  the  battery in my camera.

Today was  back to  normal, got  Phoenix moved  back into his  freshly  cleaned pen(thanks  Marc)then  headed out to  take  some  pictures of the  horses. I  need to get  Tango and Maks  listed  for  sale, but having  some  wording  issues  with  the  adds.
What  I  have  for  Tango  so  far is;

  2013 colt, FV SHALL WE DANCE (pending) Proudly offered for sale by FERN VALLEY APPALOOSAS. "Tango" is a handsome athletic colt with lovely movement and presence. a long graceful ground covering stride and a hip that promises to propel him to greatness . Form meets function with this all around prospect..

 pretty happy with  that  but  also  am  happy for  any  suggestions.

for Maks;  not so  happy  yet,  think I  need  to  word it  differently  but  am  a  bit  stuck,  this  kid  is  just so  flashy ...

 FV RAINMAKERS QUEST , 2013 bay colt proudly offered for sale by Fern Valley Appaloosas. "Maks" is loud and proud, carries the stamp of coloring from his heritage, descended of the great Dreamfinder. Quiet gentle and sensible with a world of potential. These horses have great rideability . Are a joy to work with.Beauty meets brains!
As i  said,  just  not  sure.
Got  a lot  of  pics  today, not  necessarily of  the ones  I specifically wanted, Tango was  feeling  shy, and Maks, quite  the opposite, hard  to  get  far  enough away from him to  get  good  pics LOL

 then  there  wee  these ones, just posing  so  nicely

 and  Casey, she  is  the  most photogenic  little lady!

 and the littlest  cowgirl.Off by  herself , just  chllin'  near  the  calves

 anyone know  this  fellow?? LOL  he  has  been  a  bored  pony  this  summer.
Anyhow, that's  what  I  have  been up  to, still on the lap  top  with  borrowed  internet, but its  better  than nothing  for now. Have a great week everyone. And  as  always,
Stay  safe!
