Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

How cool! He's got some serious Beamer moves there!
Where do you load your photos to get those mini movies?

Nice to see him in action! Looks like he is having a ball playing with Skeeter.

For me, the fourth image down from the top looks like "hidden image" art. Phoenix appears ghostly, and you can see the trees through him (aka he blends into the background). I love this transparent effect in photography!

The animated(?) one is pretty darn cool, but my fav is the 4th one. Looks like 2 ghost horses :)

Love it....

Well, except for that white stuff you guys sport up there this time of year. Just looking at it makes me shiver. Yes, I am a true snowbird!! :-)

so part of how I get these mini movies is beyond me, I load all my pics and edit in picassa, then if there are enough in a string (I took these in burst mode on my phone ) Google will create "auto awesome " where they either show as a panorama, add snow or do these mini movie /animations. I did download a "highspeed burst " program to my phone while I wait to get a new camera, and it takes about 80 shots in a couple seconds, which is where the frame by frame stuff comes from

Just found your site, very nice. I went back a bit and read some of your older posts, and guess what? I have also been looking for a new camera, now will take a look at The Lumux, thanks.
