Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Hear that weird sound? It was my heart melting.
:)

What a sweet guy.

Hope you have a beautiful holiday and that everyone around you is at least as friendly if not as cute as Winston.

I love pictures with animals holding up signs. We keep meaning to create signs for our photo shoots. We made some, but then kept forgetting to use them.

Nuzz Muzz, I wish I could say we posed that , he was wandering around with it and just before I reminded him it wasn't a toy for him I realised the photo op!

I'm telling ya, there just isn't anything cuter than a Golden's face!! They melt your heart for sure!! And yes, I think there should definitely be a Winston/doggie calendar in the works!! For sure!! I still regret having not kept Jasper, the golden we adopted almost 2 years ago...big mistake. I just read your earlier blog post too about your grandpa's journal. What a treasure to have his journals!! Other than having him in person, there could be no greater gift! Just wonderful!! I have always loved that old hymn too. Beautiful, beautiful words! I love so many of the old Christmas hymns...my most favorite part of Christmas! Merry Christmas my dear, sweet friend. I surely hope to sit down with you one day and share a cuppa something and some time...xx fingers crossed

Pics from photo ops are much sweeter than posed, I think. Of course, I'm talking as the queen of MISSED ops here. LOL

How much damage did Winston do to that cute little snowman??

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas!!

and he did not damage the snowman at all ,He is a truly soft mouthed dog , and if it were not for Skketer/Shredder , all of his "dollies" would be intact
