Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Playing the Wild Card

Wild thing...
you make

 my heart sing...
 You make

 everything

Groovy

I said wild thing...

Our very own ,Mr Peaceful , FV Wild Card, better know as Wider, was on a tear in the crisp cool day today
And he wasn't happy  just showing off on his own , he was busy trying to get his buddies in on the action
C'me on Digger

And Johnnie got in on it too

All the while, old Man Stryker was lapping up some salt and attention from me , far too dignified to  play with the silly boys
I have lots to to this weekend , and I did get some of it done , but it is a blustery cold start to  September , and I am staying in as much as possible , guess I could clean house...
Stay safe everyone

Mikey, Mercy and Stryker would be a lovely combo, he is an old soldier who just loves to be loved, but he is my dads horse and I adore my old gentleman so she would just have to come live here

There isn't a picture of Stryker there is there? Maybe Mercy was thinking of Johnnie- not much chance there either is there? Wilder would fit right in here ;0)

I was wondering that too Shirley, Stryker is not in these photos. But you are right either way . Johnnie is a lifer here ,I just could not part with him. Mercy does seem to have a soft spot too for the older ones so I wasn't sure

My favorite one is the first photo. I am always so happy when I see new photos on your blog. Speaking of new photos, September's smaller photo on your calendar is beautiful!!

Made me smile.
