Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Growing strong

Thought it was time to show a few new pics of the babies. They are doing well.Comet is catching up to where he should be for his age and Quinn, well the pictures say it all!

Comet has managed to ding up his hind leg a bit , but no swelling or lameness,so momma and I are doing our best .(I treat the wound , she licks the meds off and debrides it ) It is a dance we have dance here before and at the end generally the wound heals just fine!
As for the blog, and the missing posts, all I can say is I am working on it . I have retrieved several from googles cache and am in the process of saving them . My niece Angela is also working behind the scenes to help.Given time , we will have most of the posts gathered up and posted on a month by month basis (the pages idea ,not working so well. Sadly they way I am doing it ,I may not be able to retrieve the comments with each .But most are here and I can go back and read them again ,you all seem to know just what to say to make me smile , and I am so glad I did not lose that !
As always my friends , stay safe!

Comet and Quinn are growing up so fast already. Don't they know they aren't allowed to do that? Might make a nice pair for the twinlets though... Or at least a nice pair for them to ride if we ever get the chance to visit their bestest Cyber Auntie! Everyone should be grown up by then?

I hope you are able to save the majority of your work. Sucks that some dumbass who doesn't care can throw a wrench in things and create more work for you. Too bad you can't throw the wrench back their direction. Karma baby, Karma...
