Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Meow Monday

Had a good ,busy weekend, the guys finally getting some hay put up, and the usual # of breakdowns with equipment . The weather look pretty good so hopefully...
Charlie was out Sunday to trim a few horses, and of course we took a little time to visit .
BTW Dandy finally was gelded on Tues last week and was a very good boy.
Still working away at gathering the old posts from my blog.In case blogger cannot or will not restore them I am collecting what I can from cached pages and planning to archive them on pages n the blog rather than to re post them
In other news ,sadly "Little Blackie "did not make it .He passed away on Thursday. But Orange and Grey, are doing very well, chubby, and happy.Which is the current shape of most of the Fern Valley crew

Spent a little time with Quinn and Comet. Comet is slow to make friends with m , but is starting to think bum scratches are a good thing.Quinn on the other hand is an "in your face in your space guy" rubbed him all over, and had him giving to pressure, even picked up his front feet, backs ,not so much but he is getting there!
as always stay safe my friends! Have a great week

Glad to see you back in the groove. As for the hacker- I guess they have no experience with the phrase "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." I do and I gotta say there is much truth in those words...

At least the little kitty is not suffering. And before he went, he had several good days, lots of care and was comforted. Bless you for that girl! The other two will make up for their lost one. They look adorable and I am not a cat person.

Awww poor baby. Looks like the other two are 'milking' the attention though. ;-)

Dandy is going to make a lovely gelding. I worked like hell to persuade my husband we NEEDED that horse. No dice...he just waved his hand at the bunch I have. I'm pretty sure he was being purposely obtuse. :( (Heavy sigh)

So glad you are able to retrieve some of your blog! I have wanted to put mine into one of those blog books they advertise, but its way to expensive!
Sorry about the kitty, in my experience the little little guys are really hard to nurse to health.

Adorable babies... if my son weren't allergic to them, we'd have a cat. I would love to give my daughter one of those kittens, she'd be over the moon.
