Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

The other reasons I don't watch TV

Even when Martin isn't home, I don't get much chance to choose the channel
When the boys get all wrapped up in animal planet, who would have the heart to tell them no?
(It was kitties this time )
Stay safe and warm

That's awesome! My aunt's dogs watch HGTV and she says she swears when people are doing projects in the house the dogs are sitting there telling the people how to do them.

Ha ha! What screen hogs. My husband will walk into a room where a TV is on and just get completely lost in whatever is happening on TV. He'll stand there frozen and you can ask him all kinds of questions, but he won't hear a word.

I'd better not let Reba see Animal Planet, or she will start staring at the TV even when it isn't on if she thinks there are cats in there.

So cute! My cat used to love watching the simpsons, climbed right up close to see them.

Autumn will watch the Dog Whisperer. Unfortunately she hasn't taken in much of what she has seen. And people say that dogs can't understand whats on the tv. Ha. They know what they like. The boys are so cute. You'd think they'd have enough of kitties with all their own on the farm. LOL.

LOL, my TV is too high, so the girls never watch "up close". animal Cops is still a tough one with the sound on, and Dog Whisperer always has Flip's attention. Mine too:)

They definitely react to sounds etc. Some scary movies get them going!
