Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Amazing how fast a bull can run backwards when they are fighting! Sure looks like it was a nice day out there today :)

Boys.... LOL

You raise Red Angus?

Reddunappy, we have a commercial herd , mostly Simmental and Angus cross, but we do use purebred Angus bulls, helps to have a nice uniform calf crop (prices are better for Angus influenced and well matched for size type and color)

hehe, my ram does that with the cows :). And it's crazy to think you still have snow on the ground. Especially when we haven't had any at all this year really.

You still have snow and we are expecting temps in the 80's this week... Crazy enough, huh?

Nice looking bulls there. Are they fighting over the idea of running down there and having one cow, or walking and having them all? LOL!

The Clash of the Titans! Love the pics, as usual.
Hug Johnny for me!

We have robins, temperatures in the 60's(fahrenheit, the only accurate temp. measurement), AND I heard a frog cheeping on t'pond.
And I live in the frozen Toronto north.
weird.

spring is definitely here. My house is disgusting. Hard to get motivated to clean, when a new layer of mud is applied daily..
Thanks dogs!

lol! These photos remind me of the Dr. Seuss story: The Zax.

The North going Zax and the South Going Zax!
