Had to share this, picture , a work in progress by Mel Shwanke (Almighty Marshmellow) .I don't know what it is , the colored paper or just the sheer beauty of the drawing itself ( guessing the latter) But I LOVE this !! I love all of her work , but I could not stop going back to look at this ,
And it is frankly so much nicer than the view out the window the last couple days, well it is pretty too but...

Stay safe and warm my friends!
Welcome to Fern Valley
Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Beautiful! She does fantastic work!
That's a lot of snow! I think we had that much for a couple days last year and we don't get much snow here. I think it is so pretty, but it makes such a huge mess when it melts!
I can see why you are drawn to the beautiful colorful drawing vs white snow!
Our Mel does Canada proud, doesn't she!
What a talent!
Yeah, the snow is pretty.
BUT.
Mel does beautiful work.
Snow!!! bleck NOT ready for Winter, sigh....
Ya we got it now, but not taht much but I do hear its supposed to be terribly cold this weekend, glad I am going somewhere warmer (at least a little bit)
You've got a lot more snow than we do, just got our first inch last night, ugh.
Wish I had half that talent! And you guys already have snow. Holy cow!
That is gorgeous. Being so into driving lately... yeah.
Awesome work Mel!
Ok, so now I see why you were referring to early Fall as winter...yikes!!! I'm not sure I'd like having snow around for so very long. We still have rain and more shades of grey. Last w/e it was 70 degrees and balmy, but we had a decent frost this morning. Can't wait for the bugs/flies to die!!
That picture is just beautiful! Just amazes me that some people have so much talent.
That is awesome. I would rather look at that too....
