Welcome to Fern Valley

Here in central Alberta prime farm country,my husband Martin and I work together raising beef cattle and Appaloosa horses. Fern valley appaloosas have long been known for their quality of temperament conformation and color.I have recently rediscovered a love of writing and have published 2 collections of poetry. "Telling Tails" and Tails Trails and Campfire stories" . I look forward to a future spreading my wings as an author and as a horse woman .

Little Sister has arrived ( I totally knew this one was coming )

She doesn't have a name yet but I am quite sure she will tell me what it is in time, but for now, meet little sister to Foxy and Magic, out of The Drama Queen, aka Reina and by Phoenix 


She was born yesterday and almost immediately got caught in a summer storm, and either rolled under the fence or crawled through. All was well as she stayed close to mom, didn't panic and we got her sorted very quickly, but for those who remember Foxy was a bit of a dramatic baby also so definitely a drama queen baby.









As soon as I know her name I will happily share

She is beautiful, just like all of your babies.

Goodness look at that Hip! If she grows into that she's going to have a hella motor on her. Maybe she jumped the fence? Lol
